SEGRO and Aviva Investors, through their joint venture, Airport Property Partnership, have secured a second significant letting at the Heathrow Cargo Centre in 2015 to Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), the world’s largest cargo handling organisation.
WFS has signed a new ten-year lease to occupy an 82,000 sq. ft. airside unit on Shoreham Road, at Heathrow, the major airside cargo transit facility at the airport.
The latest signing follows the announcement in March 2015 of WFS acquiring a lease on the 150,000 sq ft Building 550 in Shoreham Road. WFS now occupies nearly 400,000 sq ft at Heathrow Cargo Centre across four units.

Their continued expansion at the Heathrow Cargo Centre will help them accommodate their growing client base and deliver the high quality handling services WFS is known for all over the world.”
Patrick Roberts, WFS’ Vice President UK & Ireland, added: “Heathrow has recently been identified by an independent commission as the UK airport that should be allowed to expand. In addition to nearly 70 million passengers passing through each year, it is also the entry and departure point for 1.5 million metric tonnes of cargo.”
Other Shoreham Road occupiers include Airworld, Air Canada, DHL Aviation, Air France, and Menzies Aviation.
APP is a joint venture formed between SEGRO and Aviva Investors, SEGRO is the asset manager, while Aviva Investors is the fund manager.
