Work has started on Landid Property and Brockton Capital’s The Porter Building in Slough.
Leader of Slough Borough Council (SBC), Cllr Robert Anderson, said at the groundbreaking ceremony: “We’re delighted to see work underway on The Porter Building. It will provide high-quality offices in a prime location.
“Not only is Slough one of the most connected places in the UK, but the building itself will be located in the heart of town, right outside the main railway and Crossrail station.”
The plans, designed by tp bennett for a site at 1 Brunel Way, will produce a 115,000 sq ft commercial office development. The Station Plaza development will target creative, digital and professional businesses. The site will feature a roof terrace to encourage ‘wellness’ in the workplace.
The building is expected to be completed in August 2017, in time for the arrival of Crossrail in 2019. It is hoped it will create between 200 and 250 jobs.
