Work starts at South Acton

acton gardensThe works are under way on Phase 2 of the South Acton estate regeneration.

The redevelopment of the estate is a fifteen year programme. Phase 2 is a joint venture between Countryside Properties and London & Quadrant Housing Trust, with HTA Architects being the Master Planners working with Alison Brooks Architects.

Phase 2 involves the demolition of Bollo, Maugham, Lawrence, Reade, Shaw, Hardy and Verne Courts, Blackmore and Kipling Towers, Working Men’s Club, and the garages and storage units east side of Shaw Court. They will be replaces by 756 new homes, 2,500sqm of retail space, as well as offices, Live/Work Units, and community and leisure space.
