WLB drafts “manifesto for business”

West London Business has produced a draft of a ‘manifesto for business’, aimed at informing MPs and Candidates from all parties in advance of the General Election.

The goal is to ensure any successful candidate understands and takes into account the issues facing businesses in the sub-region. It flags up, among other things, that businesses need continued investment in transport improvements – backing Crossrail, Heathrow R3, Airtrack and HS2.

It also makes a case for focussed scale development of Park Royal, White City, Earls Court, Heathrow/Hayes and Wembley, and says that employment land should be safeguarded in the planning system, saying that “land zoned for commercial development in West London is being lost to housing at an unacceptable level”.
