White City OAPF consultation

white city aerialHammersmith & Fulham Council has opened a second round of consultation on the White City Opportunity Area Planning Framework.

This document will guide how White City grows and changes over the next 20 years. The council hopes up to 5,000 new homes and 10,000 new jobs will be created, along with new community facilities and transport links.

The White City Opportunity Area stretches from the south side of Shepherds Bush Green to land north of the Westway.

The Framework is being produced by the council and the Greater London Authority. It is a supplementary planning document and would supplement policies contained within the borough’s Core Strategy and the Mayor’s London Plan.

Councillor Nicholas Botterill, leader of H&F Council, said: “The regeneration of White City heralds a brighter future for all who live or work in this part of our borough.”

The draft White City Opportunity Area Planning Framework and relevant background papers are open for public comment for six weeks from Friday 21 June until Friday 2 August 2013.
