White City Health Centre gets go ahead

The Richard Rogers designed Bloemfontein Road Health Centre has been granted approval.

Plans for the centre faltered in 2010, but were resubmitted with less housing content last year, and the scheme, which delivers a large GP surgery with capacity for handling 10,000 registered patients, along with many other services. The development will also provide 170 new homes.

Construction is expected to start in the summer.
