Westminster University submit Harrow plans

The University of Westminster have submitted plans for a redevelopment of their Harrow campus on Watford Road.

The University issued an OJEU notice in October, and now have submitted plans designed by Hawkins/Brown architects. The scheme is a hybrid planning application for demolition of part of the Watford Road Campus and the construction of new buildings and the refurbishment of existing buildings. The University wants to demolish 6,980sqm of floor space and build 3,435sqm of new educational floor space in new buildings ranging in height from one to two storeys. The refurbishment plans include new external cladding, new hard and soft landscaping, improvements to the entrance adjacent to Northwick Park Underground Station and construction of a Multi User Games Area. The application also covers a further 3,545 sqm of new educational floor space.
