West London team meet Mayor, make progress

boris meets wlThe West London delegation to MIPIM met Mayor Boris Johnson Tuesday as part of a packed programme during the property trade show.

The team from five boroughs, and a range of private sector supporters, were at MIPIM to discuss regeneration in the sub-region with the international audience of developers and investors. In all, 34 delegates from 20 organisations attended wearing a West London hat. Only nine people were from the public sector, so the presence of the private sector, and the collaborative nature of the mission, allows the boroughs to spend a small fraction – less than 5% – of that reportedly spent by other Councils, but still achieve just as much.

As well as the meeting with Boris, five members of the delegation gave presentations to the conference’s audience, and a reception, held to allow others to meet the delegation, was extremely well patronised, with guests including investors from europe and asia.
