Prices in West London are climbing, with those in LB Hammersmith & Fulham are close to record levels, and those in Brent growing at the fastest rate in London.
Brent prices have gone up by 16.7% in the last year, higher than any other London Borough. The average house price in Brent is now £315,874. This rise is perhaps helped by the Jubilee line “surge” reported earlier.
The average price paid for a home in Hammersmith & Fulham in October was £504,033, reports the Fuham Chronicle, the first time for three years it has been above half a million pounds, according to October’s house price index, produced by the Land Registry. Average prices have recovered since a 2009 low of £413,000 and are now close to the 2008 high of £507,000.
Prices have risen just over 12% in LBHF in the last year. In Ealing they have gone up 8.6% in the same period, in Hounslow, they have grown 9%, in Harrow they are up by 10%, and in Hillingdon they have grown by 8%.
