An unadvertised rail-replacement service coach reportedly never picks up passengers on its run every Tuesday from Ealing Broadway to Wandsworth Road.
The 50-seater "ghost bus" reported in the Evening Standard replaces sections of railway that have been closed. The service is funded by the Department for Transport, and the Standard reports that by running it, the operators can say that a service still operates. This avoids any requirement for a public consultation.
Until 14 December Crosscountry ran two trains a day in each direction between Birmingham and Brighton, via Kensington Olympia, using the West London Line track. It was used by about 80 people.
