Wembley City has been ranked in the top ten regeneration sites for activity, while Nine Elms has been ranked the largest scheme in the country.
The ranking, part of online magazine Regeneration & Renewal’s annual Top 100, reflects the progress made, and the completion of 125,600 sqm of space in the last three years.
Wembley City was second only to the Olympic Park on the activity ranking. It was ranked eleventh overall for scale, with Nine Elms taking top spot in the overall ranking.
Significant completions contributing to Wembley’s ranking include the refurbishment of Wembley Arena, new public space, 525 apartments, a four-star Hilton Hotel and a 660-bedroom student accommodation block.
The next elements include the opening of the London Designer Outlet this autumn and the opening of Brent’s new civic centre.
