Wembley Biomass Station gets go-ahead

A biomass power plant has been given planning consent in Wembley.

The plans, from Carey’s Environmental Services, involve demolishing some of the existing buildings at 2 and 2A Great Central Way, and, in conjunction with a change f use for the main shed on the site, replacing them with a 2.5MW biomass combined heat & power plant with flue stack, 6 cooler tanks to the rear and 2 sprinkler tanks to front, and a detached three-storey side building consisting of ground-floor workshop and first-floor & second-floor offices.
