Watermead Estate gets community facelift

waermead estate muralHounslow Homes has let residents create their own murals on the Watermead Estate, in an effort to boost cohesion and reduce anti-social behaviour.

As part of Hounslow Homes Anti Social Behaviour programme, this project aimed to engage residents to take responsibility and look after their own communities. Children and adults grabbed brushes and painted murals.

Housing Services Manager Kim Mitchell believes events like these are a great way to get the community together: working together as a community to improve estates is the best way forward, this event is a way of working with the community and Hounslow Homes in supporting residents of all ages who want to make a real difference.
