VSM “close to deal” on Bentley Priory

VSM Estates are reported to be close to signing a deal to redevelop Bentley Priory, as planning permission is granted for development at the former air base.

The base, historically a key part of the Battle of Britain, closed operations several years ago and transferred to VSM (Vinci St Modwen) under project MoDEL, as the Ministry of Defence offloaded surplus assets, which also included bases in Ruislip and Uxbridge.

VSM now have planning permission for a 339 home development, with a scheme that will enshrine the key building on the site as a Battle of Britain Museum. The Harrow Timesreports that a deal is “days away” from being signed for VSM to now sell the site to a developer.
