Uxbridge French Market sparks row

A proposal to site a French Market in Uxbridge town centre has sparked a row with traders.

The Council plan to site a three-day market in the High Street has provoked opposition from regular traders, particularly in the Mall Pavilions. But both the Council and the Chimes shopping centre say the market will benefit trade by bringing extra footfall to the town, and keep Uxbridge “one of the best town centres in London”.
