Upstream launches new Gigglebyte events programme

Upstream have announced the launch of Gigglebyte – a series of events to celebrate where comedy meets tech and business.

The joint venture between Hammersmith & Fulham Council and Imperial College, Upstream aims to support innovation, collaboration and business growth across the area.

Gigglebyte is a spin-off from the Shepherd’s Bush Comedy Festival, and provides a series of free events aimed at promoting the best of White City and Shepherd’s Bush – whilst having fun, networking and learning valuable skills.

The events are as follows:

  • Tuesday 24/7/18: Fuelling Business: How to use humour as an engine of growth. Gigglebyte launches with an evening panel and drinks. We know laughter is important to well-being but might it also be harnessed to improve the bottom line. Join Sarah Archer (Storytelling and business coach), Paul Coleman (BAFTA award winning writer of Car Share), Steve North (General Manager, UKTV Comedy & Entertainment including Dave) and Dr Steven Cross (comedian and communications coach) for a special evening at WestWorks, Wood Lane.   • Thursday 26/7/18: Upstream Thursday drinks, free co-working spaces, food and fitness discounts. Across the borough. More info here
  • Friday 27/7/18: Improve Your Business brought to you by Hoopla business. The final part of Gigglebyte’s programme will teach you how to use the secrets of the world’s best improvisers to supercharge your communication skills and make you a better storyteller, an amazing listener, and an inspiring leader – all in one action-packed lunchtime session.
