The newly merged global shopping centre giant is to put its headquarters in Westfield London, as it confirms a 27,000 sq ft office in new commercial accommodation above the existing centre.
The new headquarters will look out on to the outdoor entertainment and events space – Westfield Square – and the recently announced Exhibition London which is a 3,000 capacity event space in the historic DIMCO buildings. It represents around half of the commercial space created by the phase two expansion of the centre.
The company says the move from Westfield’s current headquarters on High Holborn marks a desire by the business to bring its employees and occupiers together.
Una O’Reilly, Group Director of Engagement and Employer Branding and HR Director UK/Italy at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: “Our London destinations continue to be catalysts for the development of the surrounding areas, making them attractive places to visit, work, live and enjoy and we wanted our UK Headquarters to be right at the heart of it. Our new head offices are designed by our people, for our people and bringing them together in a dynamic and collaborative working environment. It was also important for our offices to be located within our business to enhance our understanding and collaboration with our retailers and occupiers.”
