UK wants quick airport decision

Aviation expansion lobby group Let Britain Fly has said that MPs from all over the country have backed a quick decision on extra runways following the General Election.

The group say that the Independent on Sunday reported MPs from across the political spectrum, representing the length and breadth of the country, backed the call for a quick decision to expand London and South East airports.

Nearly sixty MPs pledged their support for a quick decision on airports expansion once the Airports Commission publishes its final report. Signatories included MPs from London and the South East as well as Belfast, Blackpool, Bradford, Glasgow, Huddersfield, Liverpool, Sheffield, York and many more.

Let Britain Fly say this is a sign of increasing political support for decisive action following the election.
