Twyford Tip goes to tender

The plans for a new Asian Centre on the North Circular appear to be advancing, as the client goes to tender on the former dump.

The AsianskyTelevision project on the edge of Park Royal, which has planning permission, is ambitious – it involves the redevelopment of a the former tip to become a new 96,886 sqm Asian centre with an estimated project value of £65m. Plans include a 200 bedroom 4 star hotel, a marriage hall to cater for 4,000 guests and another function hall, a TV production studio and two cinemas, as well as retail, restaurants and a leisure centre, and a community and cultural centre.

The main feature and centre point of the centre is intended to be a 62 metre long x 25 metre high continuously flowing ‘water wall’ which was purchased from the British Pavilion at Expo 92 in Seville, Spain.
