William Parnell Park and Marcus Garvey Park have been added to the list of excellent green spaces in Hammersmith & Fulham, as judged by the Green Flag Awards.
This brings the borough’s tally of recognised excellent green spaces to 15. Green Flag Awards are judged to meet Keep Britain Tidy’s strict criteria for the best parks in the country for their cleanliness, horticulture and facilities.
“Working closely with residents helps us keep our parks and green spaces in superb condition,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Transport and Residents’ Services.
“This teamwork helps us build on our aspiration to be the greenest borough in the country.
“These new awards are testament to the hard work of our parks staff and the residents and ‘friends’ groups, whose efforts ensure our parks remain welcoming, pleasant and clean for everyone who visits.”
