Travelodge Eastcote plans criticised

Travelodge’s plans for a new hotel in Eastcote have been strongly criticised by Hillingdon Council’s planning officers.

The Uxbridge Gazette reports planning officers found many “holes” in the application, and have concluded the new Hotel will not be necessary to hitting their available hotel room targets. The application has been recommended for refusal.

The plans, for the Initial House site, an empty former office block on Field End Road, has been the subject of several resi plans from owner Create & Construct, indeed one of these is still a pending application.
