Over 4,000 shoppers visited North Harrow for a three-day street market.
The event was organised by Harrow Council in partnership with the North Harrow Business Association, and funded by the Mayor of London’s Outer London Fund. The additional footfall was a boost for established retailers in the area.
Cllr Keith Ferry, portfolio holder for planning and economic development on Harrow Council, said: “It was fantastic to see so many shoppers in North Harrow and there was a real buzz from early Friday through to Sunday afternoon.
“The Council and traders are working together to bring the bustle back to North Harrow, hosting events and activities that show residents what the area has to offer.
“There is still a long way to go but we want to keep the momentum going, encourage more residents to shop local and support local traders.”
