Developed by the joint venture partnership between Landid and Brockton Capital, The Porter Building is one of the first offices in the Thames Valley region to receive a Wired Certified Platinum rating.
Wired Certification is a commercial real estate rating scheme that champions cutting-edge technology and rates the infrastructure, connectivity and technological capacity of commercial buildings. The Porter Building’s Platinum rating has been achieved due to the building’s diverse access points, free WiFi in common areas for occupiers and guests, mobile phone signal throughout the building and BT Openreach access, to name a few features.
As well as great connectivity, The Porter Building has also been designed to foster wellbeing and is set to become the first office in the UK to achieve WELL Building Standard certification, making it one of the healthiest buildings in the UK.
The Porter Building is already attracting interest from occupiers, with Fiserv, a global leader in financial services technology solutions, agreeing to take the entire 1st floor, comprising 28,400 sq ft.
The NASDAQ-listed business, which has over 12,000 clients in more than 80 countries and a market capitalisation of c.USD$26bn, will move from its current premises at Stockley Park to the 120,000 sq ft building that sits immediately opposite Slough station.
Chris Hiatt, Landid Director, said: “It is a great achievement to be able to class The Porter Building as one of the best connected office buildings in the UK. It’s incredibly important to us that we develop buildings which provide modern forward-thinking businesses with everything that can enable them to thrive. That also means creating workplaces that have employee wellbeing at their heart and that’s why we are very excited that The Porter Building is also set to be the first in the UK to achieve WELL Building certification.”
William Newton, President & EMEA MD at WiredScore, said: “As one of the first landlords to pursue and earn Wired Certification for their properties in the Thames Valley, Landid and Brockton Capital stand out as forward-thinking leaders in the market and can clearly demonstrate to tenants that they offer best-in-class digital infrastructure at the Porter Building.”
