Tesco submits plans for Harefield, again

Tesco have submitted a fourth application to build a store in Harefield Village.

They plan a Tesco Express on the site of the former garage next to The King’s Arms pub in Park Lane. The main stumbling block, reports the Uxbridge Gazette, apart from the vocal opposition from a core of traders and residents, is the fact that the site is close to a crossroads, and the potential danger created by delivery lorries and traffic to the store. It was last rejected by Hillingdon Council in May.
