Tesco have submitted plans for an enlargement of their Greenford store.
The expansion would take the store up to nearly 60,000 sq ft, expanding a small unit in the former cinema to the rear into space presently occupied by car parking. The three storey building will provide a supermarket of 5,510 sqm with 800 sqm of additional retail and cafe floorspace. It will include 374 car parking spaces on two levels
The Accord Architecture designed scheme has been steered through a public consultation by Nathaniel Lichfield Planning. Steven Butterworth, a director at NLP, told Property Week: "The Council and local community are very keen to see improvements to this declining centre and we are working with them and in harmony with the local ‘Good for Greenford’ regeneration strategy".
