Tesco submit Hounslow plans

ventana sep 2014Tesco has submitted plans for Ventana – a 270-home development including a 21-storey tower beside Hounslow bus garage.

Tesco’s regeneration arm Spenhill had shown plans in a consultation, and have submitted plans following that which they say have included residents comments and concerns. Amendments designed to reduce overlooking and loss of light have been included, as well as a reduction in the height of the facade on London Road.

The most prominent feature of the scheme is the Ventana Tower, which Spenhill hope will become “a landmark, acting as a gateway to the rejuvenated Hounslow town centre, signalling Hounslow’s ambitions to the rest of London”.

The tower will contain 91 homes, a mixture of one and two bed flats together with three-bed duplexes.
