St James refused planning on King Street

The proposal for the former Cineworld Cinema at 207 King Street to convert to apartments and retail has been turned down.

The decision was expected given LB Hammersith & Fulham’s support for the Grainger/Helical Bar scheme to redevelop the Town Hall Extension, but formal refusal was handed out last week for the £4.5m scheme for 75 flats and a new Tesco store.
