St James have agreed to buy the Marks & Spencer site in White City.
The store format testing facility lies between Westfield’s northern extension, and the Dairycrest site on which planning permission was obtained for the Brickfields Development by Helical Bar and Aviva, who subsequently sold the site to Imperial College.
St James plans to build up to 2,000 homes and parkland on the 10-acre site. M&S has agreed to a three-year sale and lease back as it looks for a new premises.
Imperial are building a new campus in White City focussed on the former BBC Woodlands site just north of the Westway.
