The long leasehold of Southall Town Hall has come to market.
The council have lost money on the Grade II listed building at the junction of High Street and The Broadway every year for some time, and decided to put it on the market earlier in 2017.
It has operated as an Enterprise Centre, and the headquarters for Heathrow City Partnership.
Active use at the ground floor is a condition of the lease being offered, the council wants to reinforce the high street identity. Residential use at the frontage is not permitted, but could happen on upper floors. Other uses suggested include work spaces, community facilities, and a restaurant or bar.
