Ruth Bagley, CEO of Slough BC, speaking at Place West London issued an invitation to West London to work with them on growing our joint economic future.
Slough’s economy is strongly linked to west London, with it bordering on Hillingdon, and being closely connected to both Heathrow and the London employment market. Of course many west Londoners head to Slough for work, as evidenced by the continuing regeneration around Heart of Slough and development on the Slough Estate.
“We are keen to work with West London”, said Ruth, “and we would like to make it a collaborative effort. Our economic futures are tied, so it makes sense to share some goals and visions. After all, many foreign investors think Slough is part of West London, we should use that!”.
She had earlier talked through the borough council’s vision for the future of Slough – an ambitious programme of physical and community regeneration activity including business and enterprise support as well as skills work with local people.
