A group of shopkeepers has won the right to a hearing over plans to demolish their shops as part of the Shepherds Bush Market Regeneration.
The Hammersmith Chronicle reports that the Shopkeepers, who say the council has failed to go through proper public consultation, have been granted permission for their claim for a judicial review to proceed to a full hearing.
There has been consultation on the scheme – Orion Shepherds Bush have conducted two rounds so far on their plans. They recently announced changes to those plans in light of consultation, but at the same time said the properties in question – a parade of shops on Goldhawk Road – fell too far short of modern standards to be refurbished. They plan to reprovide these businesses with modern premises as part of the development.
