Several hundred gather for Place West London

Over three hundred people came to the Place West London event on October 14.

They listened to speakers including Sir Simon Milton and Richard Barnes of the GLA, David Lunts of the HCA, Baroness Jo Valentine of London First and Stephen Greenhalgh of LB Hammersmith & Fulham, who covered subjects as diverse as Park Royal, HS2, and a West London LEP.

The crowd was treated to some significant announcements – about the West London Transport Plan, the proposed Old Oak interchange between Crossrail and HS2, a Park Royal OAPF – and to expositions about plans for Wembley, Earls Court, Shepherds Bush Market and more.

The day rounded off with a dinner, which drew yet more people, and allowed some very useful informal networking around the opportunities in West London, which, as Julian Barwick of Development Securities said during his speech at the event, “is one of the few places in the UK where development makes sense”.
