SEGRO has announced that it has presented The New Dragon Centre with a £5,000 donation, which will be put towards their ongoing fundraising campaign to build a larger, permanent new home for the Centre.
The donation was presented during an event held at the Centre in Hanworth, which was attended by young users of the Centre, guests from St George’s Church and
senior representatives from SEGRO.
The facility offers an extensive range of services to local people, including beavers, cubs and scouts, nursery services and a youth club which runs junior arts and
crafts, music lessons and a computer club, and organises activity holidays. The Centre also plays an important role in providing invaluable employment skills to the young people of the borough.
Neil Impiazzi, Partnerships Development Manager at SEGRO added “The Centre has an important role in providing essential services to local residents, and we are one hundred percent committed to supporting such worthwhile and valued community initiatives.”
Construction of the new building is anticipated to begin in the Autumn on a site next to St George’s Church, Hanworth Park. The New Dragon Centre plans to use the
additional space to expand the number of services it provides to the local community.
