SEGRO has no plans for new space

SEGRO Chief Executive Ian Coull says they have no plans to build new space.

Coull was speaking at the West London Business property lunch. He said that enquiries for space were 30% below their peak, and although conversion of these leads was at a far greater rate, that the industrial developer had no plans to build any new space.

He also said that rents in London and the Thames Valley (2 to 4% down) were holding up much better than the rest of the country (20% down), so holding assets in these robust areas still made good sense.
