As Stockley Close reaches practical completion, SEGRO has said it will be working in partnership with the De Salis Studio College in Hayes to launch a digital marketing challenge for students in 2015.
The students at De Salis will be set a task to develop a digital marketing campaign to attract domestic and overseas companies to Hillingdon and into Stockley Close.
The students will be supported and guided by SEGRO and will go on a tour of the site to undertake market research. They will also meet with SEGRO’s Digital Marketing Manager to learn more about how digital marketing is transforming the way SEGRO communicates to their customers.
Alison Moore, Principal of De Salis Studio College, said: “De Salis Studio College is one of a number of schools and colleges sponsored by The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust and yet holds a unique position in the London Borough of Hillingdon of being able to offer the mixture of employability skills and academic excellence that employers so value.
“We are therefore delighted to be working in partnership with SEGRO to ensure our students have the opportunity to extend and develop their business knowledge and practise.”
Stockley Close is a further development of SEGROs footprint around Heathrow. Three light industrial units – all with secure yards – make up the 92,780 sq ft site which has been speculatively developed and will achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
Alan Holland, SEGRO’s Business Unit Director for Greater London, said: “While Stockley Close is a Grade A light industrial park, it’s more than just a development. It is the base from which companies can easily access global markets via Heathrow, and it has been a training ground for local people to learn new skills and secure future employment.
We’re excited to launch the digital marketing challenge and look forward to working with the staff and students at De Salis Studio College.”
