Sainsbury’s signs space with SEGRO

Sainsburys has taken space at a SEGRO shed in Greenford formerly occupied by Entertainment UK.

They are reported to have signed a 15 year lease at the 240,000 sq ft Verdus warehouse at Greenford Park, which was part of the Brixton portfolio absorbed by SEGRO in 2009.This follows a period of short-term let to a film company which helped SEGRO avoid paying rates on the empty building.

But SEGRO haven’t confirmed the move, the same Property Week report says that a SEGRO spokesman said: SEGRO is actively marketing the Verdus building in Greenford, north-west London, but no deal has been signed and there is no further comment at this stage.
