RNOH rebuild confirmed

The money to rebuild the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore has been confirmed.

Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander MP has confirmed the RHOH would be receiving the £81m it was promised in March for a complete rebuild of the hospital site, designed by Devereux Architects.

Rob Hurd, chief executive of the trust which runs the hospital, told the Harrow Times: I am delighted that we have a clear way forward for our rebuild so that we can continue to provide high quality, best value care for our patients.

The trust hopes to start work onsite in 2012.
