Regal refused

Plans to redevelop former music studios in Olympia have been turned down by Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

Nomis Studios in Sinclair Road, where stars such as Tina Turner and Dire Straits have recorded, were deemed an ‘overdevelopment of the site’ by the council’s planning officers. Members of the council’s planning committee have now agreed and refused permission.

Developer Regal Sinclair Road had applied to demolish the existing buildings on the site and replace them with 52 flats, following previous failed applications for the studios.
