Plans by Redbourne for a redevelopment of the Queensbury pub site have been refused.
The plans for the Walm Lane site would have produced a mixed use five storey development with 48 flats and a replacement pub with a function room. Brent Council judged that the design would not enhance the character of the Mapesbury conservation area, and that the development did not provide enough affordable homes.
Earlier plans by Fairview Homes for a 10-storey block containing 56 flats were refused in 2015.
The pub was Brent’s first Asset of Community Value.
