Home Group have submitted oultine plans to LB Harrow for phases E – H of the Rayners Lane Estate, already the largest ‘affordable’ housing estate in Harrow.
This continues a programme begun in 2003 when Home Group demolished 540 sub-standard units, and began the process of replacing them with 260 houses and 190 flats. They also refurbished 44 units. THe scheme is financed by the building of 285 units for private sale.
The new £16.8m scheme comprises the construction of phases E-H to provide 162 houses and 177 flats. This will include associated car parking, infrastructure, access road, sewer system, enabling works and landscaping.
Phase D of the development including 80 units, a creache and a shop, is now on site, after the contract was awarded to Inspace Partnerships.
