A commercial building acquired by BAA on a site which might form part of the Heathrow third runway has been offered for community use.
The building, a former timber site in Holloway Lane, was the only commercial property bought alongside 240 homes under a property bond scheme offered to those in Sipson blighted by the third runway threat.
BAA said last year it wanted to give the building back to the community as a gesture of goodwill. A consultation over possible uses began last year and ended this month, with a library one of the most popular ideas.
BAA has offered to spend £50,000 on renovating the shell.
