R3 decision delayed?

It is reported that the decision on where a new runway will be built has been delayed, again, this time to allow cabinet discussion.

The BBC reports that “sources in Whitehall told them that expansion at Heathrow is the clear front runner”, but that the prime minister wants to hear the opinions of cabinet colleagues at a meeting tomorrow.

Following this, the Economic Affairs (Transport) sub-committee, chaired by Mrs May, will make the final choice on whether to back Heathrow or Gatwick, which could happen next Tuesday – October 25.
