Quintain has appointed Matthew Slade to the new role of Managing Director of Wembley Park.
Matthew joins Quintain from Westfield Corporation, where he opened Westfield Stratford City and was General Manager during the London Olympics. Quintain say his focus will be to “complete the transformation of Wembley Park into a world class retail and leisure destination, underpinning the substantial new residential neighbourhood that is beginning to take shape”.
Quintain say they are now focused on establishing high retail standards and achieving operational excellence across the Wembley Park estate, which includes London’s only designer outlet centre.
James Saunders, Chief Operating Officer of Quintain, said: “Matthew will bring an overarching focus to the operation and performance of our assets at Wembley Park to enhance the location’s emerging identity as a leisure destination and the unique visitor experience.
“His expert perspective, as a result of his time at Westfield Stratford City during the London Olympics, will be immensely valuable and we are excited to welcome him to the team.”
Matthew Slade said: “I am proud to be joining Quintain and to become part of a team that is establishing a vibrant new leisure destination for London.
“I’m a retailer at heart and was heavily involved in the Olympics due to managing Westfield Stratford City. Wembley Park’s powerful mix of retail, leisure and iconic sporting venues, together with the opportunity to create a stronger sense of place, is incredibly exciting.”
