The Secretary of State has called in the Arcadia scheme for an inquiry.
The scheme will be subject to a local planning inquiry run by the Planning Inspectorate, probably in June this year, with a decision in the Autumn.
The Government Office for London (GOL) letter announcing the call-in picks out the main government concerns over the scheme:
-
how the scheme and its design are consistent with PPS1 and appropriate in their context
-
compliance with PPS3, meeting community housing needs
-
effect on neighbouring conservation areas
-
consistency with LB Ealing's UDP, and the London Plan
