The three ballots in the vote to decide whether Park Royal should have a business imporvement district (BID) have all come out in favour.
There was an independent ballot among businesses in the area, split into three as the business park spreads across three boroughs. All taken together, of the 40% turnout, 63.2% of businesses voted in favour. On rateable value, the “yes” vote was from 55.6%.
Once the BID company has been incorporated, and directors elected, work can begin on the projects outlined in the BID Proposal. It’s expected this will be in October.
Brian Hinchley, Acting Chief Executive of the Park Royal Partnership, who led the BID campaign, said: “The future for Park Royal looks far brighter as a consequence of the ballot success. Now there is a powerful voice for the business community here.”
“I would like to express thanks to the businesses and stakeholders that participated during both consultation exercises to properly inform the BID Proposal.”
