Origin Housing have been granted consent for two developments Harrow – providing a total of 237 homes in the Heart of Harrow Housing Zone.
The two schemes – 116 homes at Townsend and Eaton House, South Harrow, and 121 homes on the site of the former Cumberland Hotel – are part of a plan to deliver over 500 new homes in Harrow over the next five years.
The Townsend and Eaton House scheme on Northolt Road was designed by Moss Architects.
The Cumberland Hotel site will be redeveloped as two buildings of six and nine storeys, also designed by Moss Architects.
Further phases may come forward providing another 50 or so homes. Construction is expected to start mid 2016.
Origin are also working on bringing their Palmerston Road and Deller sites together to form a masterplan development at the centre of the Housing Zone area which could provide around 190 new homes and a new employment hub providing affordable office space for local businesses. The masterplan proposal is currently with the GLA for consideration.
