Open meeting on Gunnersbury Park regeneration

800px-The_Large_Mansion_at_Gunnersbury1 small The Gunnersbury Park Regeneration Board will meet in open session on Thursday April 2 to discuss proposals for generating funding for the Park's regeneration.

Consultants will discuss the latest developments on plans to regenerate the park, which includes a proposal to build 60 houses on some parkland.

The proposals are contentious locally and across London, as they involve reducing overall green space. Some groups feel a precedent could be established that allows building on parkland which might be more easily deployed in locations such as Crystal Palace.

The meeting will be held at 7pm in the Terrace Room of the Small Mansion. The Board meets regularly in open session to ensure local engagement and transparency of decision making on what seems to be recognised as a contentious issue.
