Old Oak Park viaduct progress

There is agreement around a key access point to the Old Oak Park scheme in Park Royal.

Developers London & Regional, on behalf of the site owner, Cargiant, have been working with the Old Oak Park Development Corporation (OPDC), the Greater London Authority (GLA), Network Rail and Transport for London (TfL) around the delivery of a northern viaduct to allow access to the homes and employment space planned for the site.

The viaduct is a critical part of opening up the area, and maximising the delivery of new homes and jobs.

Geoff Springer of London & Regional said: “I am pleased to report that the case for a viaduct is now supported by the public bodies and that further technical studies have been commissioned. These will allow the exact location of the viaduct to be confirmed and should be complete in the Autumn of this year.”

Once the viaduct location is known, detailed design work will commence for the submission of the planning application.  Further consultation is expected towards the end of 2017, with the planning application submitted to OPDC in early 2018.
