Office plans approved for Westfield London

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s plans to convert the former House of Fraser store at Westfield London in to co-working space and a number of smaller retail units have ben approved.

The former 100,000 sq ft anchor store had proved unlettable, so Westfield put forward the proposals to break it in two two retail units totalling 30,000 sq ft across the two lower floors of the current unit, and 70,000 sq ft of office space split across those two floors and including the entirety of the upper floor.

The inclusion of additional office space aims to help to enhance the overall Westfield London development and will provide additional footfall to the existing restaurants and retailers in the area.
