A new West London landmark, nicknamed the Octopus, is proposed.
The 52m high building, designed by Make Architects, is proposed by London and Bath Estates for a site next to Chiswick Roundabout.
London and Bath Managing director Kim Gottlieb told the Hounslow Guardian: The vast majority of people (coming to the Olympics) will arrive in Heathrow and will come through Hounslow and go past this site. Its a fabulous position but it doesnt really look like a main road into the countrys capital.
The building would contain 25,000sq ft of office space over five floors, while the outside would be used for advertising. London & Bath hope to put the application before the area committee in the new year. They hope the building would be completed by December 2011.
